Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By connecting to or using ChartPane ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

ChartPane is an MCP App that renders interactive charts and dashboards inline within compatible AI assistants. The Service provides two tools — render_chart and render_dashboard — that accept structured data and return visual chart representations.

3. Use of the service

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for its intended purpose of rendering charts and dashboards.
  • Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service.
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Not reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service (the source code is publicly available under the MIT license).

4. Authentication

The Service uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in, you authorize ChartPane to access your basic Google profile information (email and display name) for session identification only. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.

5. Your data

Chart data you submit is processed in-memory for validation and rendering. Data values are not stored on our servers. Only request metadata (chart type, title, timestamp) is logged. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Availability

The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChartPane and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service renders charts for informational and visualization purposes only — you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any data or charts produced.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
